Mr. X is one scary dude. Every time his ugly mug appears from around the corner we run in panic. It’s almost too much. It’s not like the world of Resident Evil 2, with its zombies and lickers and Birkins needed to be any more terrifying.

Of course, if you’re wanting an alternative Mr. X but don’t think that being chased around a police station by a giant blue train with an inane grin on its face sounds any less scary, you could always opt for something… saucier.
That’s right, there’s an explicit Mr. X mod. Don’t worry, he’s not fully naked. We don’t have to see what the T Virus did to Mr. X’s crown jewels. But he certainly looks like a shredded beast with this mod installed.

Best Resident Evil 2 Remake Mods
HDR ReShade
Resident Evil 2’s graphics are pretty spot on, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement. The HDR ReShade mod aims to fix the game’s inconsistent color palette, removing the greenish filter with something that’s more photorealistic.
Blacks appear darker, and there’s generally a more crisp appearance to textures with this shader installed. It’s definitely worth a shot. You can download it here.

Dino Crisis Mod Pack
Capcom has alluded to remaking more games in the future if fans are interested. Well, let it be known that Dino Crisis is the series we’re most keen to revisit! Until our voices are heard, though, this Dino Crisis Mod Pack will have to suffice.
The mod changes up the outfits to those from the cult classic PS1 game, and the police station’s main hall has some “goodies” to collect, too. You can download the mod here.
